Hi there! I’m Ellie. Ask me who I am, and I have a whole list of descriptions that I could give you: mom, wife, sister, friend, artist, or let’s get a little deeper, over-committing, multi-tasker, major FOMO-er.

Since about 2020, I have realized that our lives are moving faster and faster. Yes, I understand the way time feels faster the longer you live, but I believe it also has to do with how we have not “nothing” time. We, as a collective whole of society, lack down time that is true down time. I am a absolutely guilty of this! When I sit down at the end of the night, I pick up my phone to scroll, I turn on the show I am currently watching and, as much as I hate to admit it, I am usually double (or triple) screening it.

After a year of chaos and overplanning and starting to make goals of where our lives will be in the somewhat near future, I had had enough. Something’s gotta give. As I said earlier, I have a MAJOR fear of missing out on time with people I care about. So here we are- The Calming Shift.
